The Guilty Carnivore
Thx tommy, noted and updated. As it happens, I’m often drunk or soon will be on weekend evenings when bad news strikes. I remember first reading it in Gourmet magazine (a year before being released as an eponymous collection of essays), replete with footnotes and all.
And I remember that next Gourmet’s issue’s had some good hate mail, which made me smile.
