The wonder fish. (Fortune/CNN Money, via Ezra Klein)
So just what is Kona Kampachi? Think of it as a more versatile cousin of hamachi. It’s not genetically engineered in any way, just well bred. It’s sashimi-grade and sustainably farmed without hormones or prophylactic antibiotics. It’s richer in omega-3 than just about anything else in the ocean and has no detectable mercury. It melts on your tongue, holds up on the grill, and is so rich in oils that it’ll fry in a pan without butter.
Pregnant women, nursing moms, young children: Eat as much as you want of what might just be the best-tasting fish you’ve ever had. Really. It’s that good.

The Guilty Carnivore
Hey, the giant hamburger, if I wanted a giant hamburger, I would make it myself.
I also live mere steps to a place called “George’s Giant Hamburgers”, so if I wanted to buy a giant hamburger I could simply visit a restaurant that has giant hamburgers in the name and thus would purportedly feature hamburgers of substantial heft and weight.
But you didn’t know this, did you? How could you? Maybe you should have done some research, first, before you came here touting your intimate knowledge of giant hamburgers and the locations of said large sandwiches thereof.
So no, the giant hamburger I will not visit http://www.thegianthamburger.com and I will certainly not actively seek it to purchase a kit to construct my own giant hamburger at home. I have had the displeasure of already owning my own giant hamburger kit that did not function as advertised and it was returned to the shady online bodega from whence twas procured.

The Giant Hamburger has been spreading his hamburger kit spam all over the place recently. I just ran into the same “comment” over at Portland Food and Ink, I think it was. I say we get his e-mail address from the website and start putting him into every pain in the ass e-mail notification list we can find…
