FINALLY made it out to Sanchez', and thank you for telling me about it. Asada was delicious, service was cheerful, and overall it got me through the rest of the day.

They have a fancy new full-color menu now! I will have to go back soon and try some of their other offerings.

Your website made this place sound fantastic, and my boyfriend cursed me when I started reading the taco descriptions out loud, so we jumped up and sped off to see the Sanchez tacos.

1. They were out of the "ethereal" pastor, which was our main object of desire, and it was only 4pm, not even dinner time.
2. I ordered one pescado, one carnitas and one asada, and they brought me two pollo and one asada, and after I went to the counter and asked about it they said they'd bring me a pescado taco, but it didn't come until I was ready to leave, and too full to know if that was the reason I wasn't impressed.
3. The asada was really good, and the tortillas were, as you said, amazing fluffy envelopes of goodness, but the pollo and carnitas really did nothing for me, and the rice and beans were basically just some added texture. To be fair, I'll go back again and try the pastor, but I wonder how early that has to be before they run out...?

Okay, jwa (who loved the chili paste, btw) and I went to lunch here today based on your rec...wow, so good.

The seasoned pork tacos are awesome. And I only work about 7 minutes from here. Woo!

Thanks for posting about it!

OH, you outed our favorite place. The only refuge of good food in Tigard. I'm so glad you liked it, as I've been wondering how all the other taquerias you've reviewed would compare to our esteemed Sanchez. They are also possibly the nicest owners.
