What, no comment about our home-grown nutjobs setting fire to SUVs in SW?

Tommy
Is that to say that the value of an SUV is equivalent to the value of a human life?

Fanatics who like to set fire to SUVs are already treated like terrorists:

Indeed they are, unfortunately. Not that they shouldn’t pay for their crimes (I would never condone property damage in the name of political activism, as no reasonable person should…), but 16 years? Come on… That said, I’ll go on the record as being all for home grown nutjobism. Rock on, home grown nutjobs!
As for real terrorists, why is Luis Posada Carriles walking free, George? Why?

They are terrorists. It’s up to the judge to decide how significant their terrorism is. As is said in the article:
There’s no difference between what they’re doing and what a person does when they burn down or bomb an abortion clinic after the clinic is closed. And 12 or 13 years is hardly harsh for serial arsonists with a political axe to grind.

“This is a classic case of terrorism, despite their protests of lofty humane goals,” said assistant U.S. Attorney Stephan Peifer. “It was pure luck no one was killed or injured by their actions.” [/quote]
