Dick Cheney will be visiting Provo this week and giving the commencement address at BYU.
A bunch of students have, in protest, organized an alternative graduation ceremony and have raised over $20k to fund it.

I thought that this might actually be a significant protest at my alma mater, a place dominated by apathy. Nope. Just some dude who got his letter posted on Daily Kos and a bunch of people sent a couple bucks his way.
Yeah it was mostly due to nationwide Daily Kos support, not people in Utah. People in Utah may still like Dick Cheney.
I personally know two Mormons that hate Dick Cheney, and they don’t even live in Utah. One has a beard.
