We just got these really tasty, grilled prawn appetizers at whiskey soda lounge last week with the legs, heads and huge antennae-type-things still attached. It was one of those moments jwa and i both looked at each other after the plate was set down, like, "huh, I did not expect that." Then we both kinda shruged, then started unpeeling all shell coating/legs/etc from the tasty shrimp meat with gleeful abandon.

I am ashamed to say I didn't quite utilize the heads like I should have...I'm sure you're supposed to dig around in there for more shrimpy goodness or something.

Anyway, so far, my vote's for shrimp. Tofu is a close second. Go powerful-sexual-preference-changing tofu. Now that's a powerful food.

But shrimp is still first. For now.

Weird Confession #573: I have a phobia about shrimp legs. Seriously. Anne's been really kind about it - even peels them delicately for me when we're at restaurants.

On the other hand, my screen name through 12 years of AIM use was always 'Krill'.

Anyway, not about me, it's about the meat - fantastic article. Really well done.
